# What Is Detritus?

### Why Detritus?

One reason that Detritus interested me was its very quick turnaround on supporting things like slash commands and buttons, whereas our existing *popular* libraries take... some time to get things done. It's normal and natural, larger libraries with a lot of code take more time to update. And maybe their spark is fading. Time will tell.
